Detailed Instructions on Electronic Service Process in HERMES
What do I have to do in order to use a fully electronic HERMES service?
In order for you to use a fully electronic HERMES service the following are required:
You must be registered in the HERMES National Portal and acquire a username and a password
You must visit any KEP, where you will be physically identified presenting any valid identification document (for instance identity card or passport). The KEP employee will ask you your username in HERMES in order to initiate the procedure of physical identification, so you must remember it
The physical identification is made once and in many cases it is sufficient for the use of electronic services. If any service requires additional registration details, such as Tax Identification Number for the services of ELGA, you will be required to present the necessary certificates attesting their correctness
The procedure is simple : Registration in the portal and registration in the service (with physical inentification in any KEP and attestation of the correctness of other possible required details).
How will I know that for an electronic service additional registration details are required?
Connect to HERMES and navigate through the electronic service you are interested in or try the search engine of the portal if you can't find it. In the service display page the documents required for its process are displayed.

If you have the required documents, the system displays the option "Process service" on green background. Otherwise, the message "Incomplete documents" is displayed and with the indication X the missing documents are displayed and you will have to authenticate in any KEPA
I processed the service and received the document in my computer. What can I do?

As certified user of the HERMES National Portal, you can electronically process a series of services and receive in your computer the documents you want (certificates, attestations and other documents). Those documents are digitally signed by HERMES, providing additional security to your electronic transactions with the Government. Having electronically received a document you may :
Keep it for your personal use for as long as it stays in your electronic locker.
Print the document and visit any KEP to validate it
Save the document as file and present the file to the KEP or any other entity requires the specified document. Through the specified file the recipient will check the validity of the document
