Χρόνος Διεκπεραίωσης: The Service may revoke the licence within 3 months of the business start-up announcement, in case any legal prerequisites are not met or submitted documentation is missing. If the above deadline expires without objection, then it is assumed that instructors may start their business. The applicant may request a relevant certificate from the competent administrative authority.

A Certified Driving Instructor must: a. provide theory and practical driving lessons to candidate drivers of motor-vehicles, motorcycles and mopeds of each category or subcategory. b. attend the practical driving test, in a training motor vehicle, conducted at the Transport and Communications Dept of Regions. c. provide practical lessons to holders of motor vehicles, motorcycles and mopeds driving licences in order to improve their driving performance.
ΠροϋποθέσειςA Certified Driving Instructor’s Licence is granted to individuals that meet all criteria below: a. They are holders of a valid driving licence of all categories of motor vehicles and motorcycles. b. They are holders of a Diploma of Professional Instructor for Candidate Drivers c. They have not been sentenced to any penalty for theft, embezzlement, fraud, extortion, forgery, smuggling, violation of the law for drugs, dishonesty, misconduct, moral crimes, insubordination or desertion in wartime, passive or active bribery. Especially within the last five years before filing the application they have not been sentenced for any reason whatsoever to more than 10 months imprisonment (cumulatively) or to more than 90 days imprisonment or detention (cumulatively) for violation of the Road Traffic Code d. They have not been sentenced for illegal practice of the profession of candidate drivers’ instructor e. They are not public servants or work for a Public Entity or the greater public sector, as determined by paragraph 6, Article 1, Law 1256/1982 (A 65), as applicable at any time, and are not retired from the above sectors. The above conditions must be met throughout the period the applicant is a holder of a driving instructor’s licence. The licence will be revoked in case any of the above-mentioned conditions are no longer met. The licence is returned only when all conditions are met once again. Instructor licence holders must immediately inform the competent Transport and Communications Dept in writing in case they no longer meet any of the above conditions at any time.
Step 1: Applicants shall announce the business start-up to the Transport and Communications Dept of the Region, and shall file all necessary supporting documents.
Step 2: Step 2: The Transport and Communications Dept of the Region shall receive the supporting documents and review them within a 3-month deadline.
Step 3: If the 3-month deadline expires with no objection, then it is regarded that applicants can start their business. Applicants may request a relevant certificate from the competent administrative authority.
